The Crash Pad - an Uncommon Hostel

Crash Pad is a base camp for Chattanooga’s outdoor amenities.  Conceived as the destination for Chattanooga’s multitude of outdoor and adventure enthusiasts, Crash Pad is an urban hostel, but with state-of-the art design, and beautiful outdoor space.  Designed as energy-efficient, and targeting LEED Platinum, the building includes solar panels, a greywater reuse system, and extensive use of salvaged materials.   The building expresses beauty in a simple and smart way, and we’re most proud of it because of the pivotally important collaboration of builders, craftsmen, and additional designers.
